OneTek is a systems integration company built by solving problems others walk away from. Since 2008 we have installed the cameras, the fibre, the wireless and the networks that district-wide schemes actually run on — across business improvement districts, town centres and industrial estates. Smart Place is what those deployments turned into: the software layer over an estate where the cameras, the entrances and the tenants all belong to different people.
The problems a district scheme has to solve
Most estate security is a collection of separate systems bought by separate people at separate times. The cameras belong to one landlord, the car park to another, and nobody can answer a question that crosses a boundary.
