Winsford 1–5 BID and West Chester BID Select OneTek for Major CCTV & ANPR Expansions
Following long-standing partnerships and proven results, Winsford 1–5 BID and West Chester BID have selected OneTek to deliver large-scale CCTV and ANPR expansions—significantly increasing coverage, visibility, and security across both estates.
A Proven Partner in Estate Security
After years of successful collaboration, Winsford 1–5 BID and West Chester BID have both selected OneTek to deliver major expansions of their CCTV and ANPR security infrastructure.
These projects represent a significant investment in estate-wide safety, visibility, and long-term resilience—building on systems that have already demonstrated measurable value.
Evolving the Winsford 1–5 CCTV Network
OneTek has operated the Winsford 1–5 CCTV system for nearly a decade. During that time, the network has grown from an initial deployment of three PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras to a five-camera system, including two ANPR units.
While effective, the movement-based nature of PTZ cameras made it challenging to capture every incident—particularly when events occurred outside the camera’s active field of view.
Following detailed consultation, OneTek designed a modernised solution:
- Phasing out PTZ cameras
- Replacing them with static panoramic cameras
- Each camera providing four continuous fixed views
- Full-time recording across all angles for post-incident review
A Significant Expansion in Coverage
The new Winsford deployment will introduce:
- 40 new panoramic CCTV cameras
- Installed across 10 strategic locations
- An increase of 35 cameras
- 5 additional locations, dramatically expanding coverage
This upgrade ensures incidents are no longer missed due to camera movement—delivering consistent, comprehensive visibility across the estate.
West Chester BID: A Major Security Investment
In parallel, West Chester BID has appointed OneTek to deliver one of its largest infrastructure investments to date—a new CCTV and ANPR system designed to enhance estate-wide security and support existing on-the-ground security teams.
The project includes:
- 56 4K CCTV cameras
- Deployed across 14 locations
- Covering an area exceeding 80 hectares
- AI-powered ANPR cameras to capture and analyse vehicle registrations
This integrated approach significantly improves situational awareness, investigation capability, and deterrence.
Designed for Modern Estate Security
Both projects reflect a shift toward intelligent, always-on surveillance—moving beyond traditional camera systems to infrastructure that supports proactive security management.
Key benefits include:
- Continuous recording across all views
- Improved incident capture and review
- Enhanced vehicle monitoring through ANPR
- Scalable infrastructure designed for future smart-estate use cases
Deployment and Delivery
Planning permission for the West Chester system has been approved, with deployment scheduled to commence in Q2 2022. Winsford’s phased rollout will deliver immediate improvements while future-proofing the estate for additional technologies.
Together, these projects demonstrate how thoughtful CCTV design—paired with experience and long-term partnership—can dramatically improve safety outcomes.
A Foundation for Smarter, Safer Estates
By selecting OneTek, both BIDs have invested not only in security, but in infrastructure capable of supporting:
- Smarter estate management
- Data-informed decision-making
- Future AI and sensor integrations
These deployments reinforce a shared vision: secure estates built on intelligent, resilient technology.
